Job Description

Position Overview:

An attorney is responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients in construction-related matters. They handle all aspects of the legal process, including litigation, mediation, arbitration, and contract negotiation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in construction-related matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
• Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration
• Negotiate and review contracts and agreements on behalf of clients
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Stay up-to-date with changes in construction laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state
• Minimum of 3 years experience in construction law
• Strong knowledge of litigation, mediation, and arbitration processes
• Experience in contract negotiation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in other areas of law, such as real estate or commercial litigation
• Previous experience as a legal associate or in-house counsel
• Certification in mediation or arbitration
• Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures
• Experience with legal research databases and technology
