Join us in providing essential sign language interpretation services to enhance the learning experience for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. As a Fully Virtual Educational Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication during virtual classroom sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, one-on-one sign language interpretation during virtual classes.
Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support student needs.
Facilitate seamless communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, their peers, teachers, and school staff.
Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
Certification as an Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in a school-based or educational setting is preferred.
Familiarity with virtual interpreting is a plus.
