COL SOLARE AMBASSADOR & TERRITORY MANAGER
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Summary: Reporting to the Regional Director, this position is responsible for primarily developing and promoting our luxury wine portfolio in Washington state, which will expand to include some national travel to key markets. The role will focus 75% on the Col Solare brand and 25% on our Antinori Italian portfolio, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and Antinori Napa Valley. Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong business relationship with senior distributor management and sales force. Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with pivotal key accounts and collaborate closely with marketing team on tactical development and implementation of promotional activity needed for sales success.
Location: Must be located in Seattle area
Critical Responsibilities:
• Key Account Relationships (60%)
• Develop and cultivate strong relationships with a minimum of 50 key accounts and buyers within the state of Washington.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase brand presence and market penetration – minimum of 4 days in the market per week calling on key accounts.
• Col Solare Ambassador (15%)
• Supporting accounts outside of Washington state.
• Manage market work and events for Col Solare wine maker and team.
• Host tasting events, wine dinners and host industry visits to Col Solare winery.
• Education and Distributor Engagement (15%)
• Provide wine education to distributor sales teams including team meetings, general sales meetings and regular distributor meetings.
• Coordinate work with days with distributor sales team.
• Develop, oversee and monitor sales and depletion goals to ensure annual plan targets are met.
• Effectively manage distributor inventory levels to achieve annual plan targets.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Regional Director and Luxury/Antinori Director on tactical development and implementation of promotional activity needed for sales success.
• Administrative (10%)
• Ensure timely review and submission of distributor invoices, expense and market recap reporting.
• Adhere to T&E budgets.
Professional Requirements:
Education/Experience:
College degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related discipline. Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience selling wines through multi-tiered distribution channels, including experience managing a distributor and budgets.
Skills:
Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to focus on multiple tasks and deadlines, and effectively prioritize and manage them. Attention to detail, strong PC skills required (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be a self-starter, and able to work independently. The ability to learn and effectively use reporting tools and manage/plan business activities is essential.
Creative with a winning attitude, and the selling abilities of telling a story and influencing.
Knowledge: Passion for and extensive knowledge of Domestic and Import wines.
Physical: Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel including overnight stays and be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
Other: Must have a valid Driver’s license in the state employed and must meet the Company’s automobile insurance requirements.
