Job Title: Estimator

Years of Experience: 4+ years

Work Model: Onsite 5 days A Week

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Base Salary: $80,000-$120,000/year

Job Overview:

The Estimator assists the team by developing comprehensive sections of estimates for construction projects. Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, pricing, soliciting bids, working within the estimating software, gathering cost data, and preparing system comparisons. This position generally reports to the lead estimator at the assigned location.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate civil, architectural, and structural work for projects ($20M-$50M+).
• Create accurate pricing from concept to budget, GMP, or Lump Sum.
• Coordinate documents for GMP and Lump Sum bids.
• Lead subcontractor scope reviews before contract award.
• Provide unit pricing data and cost estimates.
• Outline clarifications/qualifications in estimates.
• Backup estimates for review.
• Identify indirect costs and general conditions.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors for competitive pricing.
• Produce manpower estimates.
• Compile complete estimate/bid package breakdown.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years relevant experience (Type of Construction Estimating: Commercial, Multifamily, Public Works).
• Must have experience and understanding of multiple construction divisions of estimating. General Requirements, Existing Conditions, Concrete, Masonry, Metals, Wood, Plastics, and Composites, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Openings (Doors and Windows), Finishes, Specialties, Equipment, Furnishings, Special Construction, Conveying Equipment (Elevators, Escalators), Fire Suppression, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Communications, Security)
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and delegate when needed.
