Senior Accountant

We're looking for a talented Senior Accountant to manage the financial and administrative activities of a dynamic quick-service restaurant operation with multiple locations. In this role, you'll be a key player in our accounting team, handling a range of important tasks to keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accounting entries for the general ledger
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile daily store sales and deposit activities
- Manage accounts payable and oversee monthly financial close and reporting
- Provide support for auditors as needed
- Take on special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Sage Intaact
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Pro Plus 2023
- Knowledge of banking systems and cash management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience in the quick-service restaurant industry is a plus
- Ability to effectively interact with a variety of personnel, owners, and external organizations
- Strong technical knowledge in accounting theory, principles, and methods

What We Offer:

- Competitive salary: $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience

Location: Rutland, VT (This is not a remote position)
