Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in NODA in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their daughter, who will be 3 months old when the nanny starts. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (the family will determine the exact schedule with their nanny, likely three days from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and two slightly shorter days). Willingness to travel occasionally with family is preferred (not a deal breaker, but a preference).

The grandma will care for the child one morning or afternoon a week. On that day, the nanny should be comfortable picking their daughter up or dropping her off at her grandma’s house in Myers Park.

The best nanny for this family would be responsible, reliable, timely, communicative, flexible, and, above all, caring. It is important to the family that their nanny is very experienced with infants and knowledgeable about caring for them properly. Each day, the nanny will be responsible for keeping their daughter on her schedule (loosely following Moms on Call schedule). The schedule includes feeding, changing, playtime, and naps. The family is looking for an engaging nanny to provide an enriching environment for their daughter. Being proactive and creative in coming up with developmentally appropriate and learning-focused activities to do with the child throughout the day is imperative. These activities will evolve as the child grows; however, when the nanny starts, these activities should include tummy time, reading, playing outside and inside the home, doing sensory activities, going on walks, and more. The family lives in a 4-level townhome and is seeking a nanny who can navigate the stairs safely with their baby. Mom and Dad work part-time from home in their home office, the nanny must be comfortable with the parents working from home some during the week.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry (approximately one load a day) and changing child’s sheets weekly

• Child’s Meal/Bottle prep and feeding her

• Washing and sanitizing bottles

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Tidying throughout the day (toys and items related to the child’s care)

• Emptying diaper pail as needed
  

Pets: The family has an 8-year-old Standard Poodle. The nanny would need to take her out in the early afternoon for a short walk (weather permitting) or to use the bathroom.

Qualifications:

• Have at least three years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine, TDAP, and the annual Flu Vaccine.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts September 16th, 2024

• Legal pay is offered at $25.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
