Théa Pharma markets a suite of leading eye-care drugs that have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including Zioptan®, Cosopt®, Cosopt® PF, Azasite®, Akten®, and Betimol®, as well as AcellFX™ Acellular Amniotic Membrane and the portfolio of iVIZIA dry-eye drops and eyelid hygiene products. Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging eye care professionals (ECPs) in virtual, telephone, and in-person interactions to promote Thea’s portfolio of products, achieve sales targets, and manage all aspects of their designated territory and other ECPs as assigned. The Inside Sales Representative will be expected to educate ECPs on product indications, safety, features, and benefits to assure appropriate use for patients. The Inside Sales Representative will also cover their own territory virtually, but also may fill in for outside sales territories which are vacant, and thus may be expected to travel and work in those geographies on a temporary basis.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Engage in daily sales call, appointment setting, and marketing activity according to defined expectations, with the purpose of influencing ECPs to use Thea products appropriately, resulting in increased sales of prescription, OTC, and direct order products.
    • Conduct in-depth, interactive, virtual sales calls with ECPs in assigned territory,
    • Build relationships with ECPs and provide education to support staff members
    • Execute a plan to reach target ECPs, set appointments for virtual calls, and make cold calls in the process of building sales in the territory.
    • Create and implement business plans to achieve territory and sales goals.
    • Maintain call productivity and metrics as per expectations.
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with ECPs and staff using effective selling, listening, proper terminology and approved messaging, and effectively use approved promotional materials.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product portfolio, other therapeutic options, and an understanding the ECP office.
  • Maintain accurate call records and complete required data entry of call and outreach activity in Veeva CRM.
  • Respond to inbound customer needs, questions, and requests for information.
  • Effectively collaborate with the external sales team and management.
  • Maintain a high level of communication, transparency, and openness to coaching with the manager of the inside sales team
  • Create and maintain a professional image and impression with the organization and ECP customers.
  • Participate in regular team and organization calls and meetings both virtually and in-person. Travel will be required to attend training, sales meetings, and conventions.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations and Thea policies, Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Complete other assignments, duties, and projects as assigned by the manager.
  • Be willing to travel to attend trainings, meetings, and to potentially work in sales territories located in different geographic areas.

 

Key Working Relationships:

  • Report to Senior Director, Sales Force Effectiveness
  • Collaborate with other sales team members and Thea employees.
  • Participate in a creating a positive work environment

Education, Skills Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Interested Ophthalmic Technologists and Assistants are encouraged to inquire about this role (COA, COT, COMT, CCOA)
  • Previous inside or field sales experience in a pharmaceutical and/or ophthalmic company, preferred.
  • Persuasion skills, business acumen, organizational and analytical skills are required
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and practice active listening
  • Professional speaking voice and accurate pronunciation of scientific and product terminology
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and able to follow sales plan and processes
  • Commit to patient and customer centricity
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Valid Driver’s License, required
  • Full-time access to a reliable, insured, and well-maintained vehicle, required. This role is provided a car allowance, not a vehicle.
