Job Description:

This position involves preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance providers. You'll be responsible for ensuring that patient information is accurate, handling billing procedures, and managing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit medical billing and claims to insurance companies.
• Ensure the accuracy and currency of patient information.
• Generate bills and invoices for medical services rendered.
• Investigate insurance claims and communicate with relevant parties.
• Research insurance policies and verify coverage.
• Handle referrals and pre-authorizations for patient care.
• Monitor and record payments, and follow up on late accounts.
• Input claim data and manage patient accounts.
• Maintain detailed financial records and follow payment procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and other accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of industry best practices is essential.

Additional Details:

• Full-time, in-office position with a Monday through Friday day shift schedule.
• Must be able to commute daily to the office location.
• This role requires physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. The ability to work at a desk for extended periods is essential. Other tasks may be assigned as needed by management.
