About the Role:
As a Field-Based Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, your primary goal will be to educate and inform healthcare professionals about COVID-19 risk factors and treatment options. You will have the opportunity to work in urgent care and retail pharmacy settings, engaging directly with targeted healthcare professionals (HCPs) to ensure they are well-prepared to identify at-risk patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide educational support to physicians about COVID-19 risk factors, disease progression, and treatment options.
Engage with identified targets to ensure preparedness for patient identification.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular calls and ongoing communication, as outlined in the Field Pharmaceutical Educational Contract.
Collaborate closely with customer-facing colleagues to align goals and coordinate efforts across various channels.
Understand the local customer and market landscape to prioritize opportunities and develop actionable plans to maximize educational impact and drive sales.
Work in a highly collaborative team environment that encourages sharing ideas and fostering innovation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Engage with healthcare professionals by answering questions about drug interactions, treatment eligibility, and supply resources.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the product, patient education, and market dynamics while utilizing only approved promotional materials.
Stay informed about related disease states, healthcare trends, and account-specific considerations to engage in meaningful conversations with customers.
Implement strategic call plans to exceed goals within your assigned territories.
Analyze customer interactions and available data to tailor unique educational approaches for each target office.
Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize local opportunities and develop strategies for targeted accounts.
Guide retail pharmacy interactions to further educational efforts.
Utilize effective interaction techniques, including pre-call planning and tailored presentations, to meet customer needs.
Share information about approved support resources with customers.
Complete call reporting and inventory responsibilities following current procedures.
Balance necessary study and certification time during off-hours to maintain medical and product knowledge.
Prepare for and actively participate in all required sales conferences and training sessions.
Complete all required compliance training within set timelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, professional sales, marketing, or healthcare-related roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT).
Entrepreneurial experience, such as small business ownership, is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to embrace new ideas.
Willingness to travel and a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
Proficiency in computer and iPad use.
Experience in an urgent care setting is preferred.
