Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (Data Analytics, Python, PowerBI, AWS/Azure)
Location: Calgary, AB ( Onsite )

Duration/Term: Long Term Contract



Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with over 10 years of expertise in data analysis , business intelligence , and designing data-driven business solutions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in statistical modeling , data visualization , and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that drive impactful business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Process Analysis : Analyze processes to identify areas for improvement, utilizing data-driven insights.
2. Requirement Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable models and business solutions.
3. Data Pipelines & Dashboards : Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and dashboards supporting business intelligence initiatives.
4. Market Analysis : Conduct analysis and demand forecasting to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
5. Report Generation : Create and maintain reports leveraging tools like QlikView and PowerBI .
6. Process Optimization : Monitor and improve business processes using statistical modeling techniques.
7. Performance Recommendations : Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance efficiency and business outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python (Jupyter, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PySpark), R , and SQL for advanced data analysis.
• Business Intelligence Tools : Hands-on experience with QlikView and PowerBI for visualization and reporting.
• Cloud Services : Familiarity with AWS (EC2, RDS, Glue) and Azure (Databricks, Data Factory) for managing and scaling cloud solutions.
• Version Control & Containerization : Knowledge of Git and Docker for collaboration and deployment.

Soft Skills

• Analytical & Problem-Solving : Strong ability to address complex challenges and derive data-driven solutions.
• Communication & Collaboration : Excellent skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams and conveying actionable insights clearly.
