Job Description

We are seeking a technical designer with 4- 5 years plus of experience to join our dynamic technical design team. In this role, the Tech will strategically interpret and develop the commercialization and engineering of product to meet design and merchant requirements. The Tech will manage products to achieve fit, construction, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop specifications for styles including how to measure (using Illustrator), points of measure, sewing instructions, and cutting instructions.
• Contribute to the development of best practices for sewing and measuring methods.
• Evaluate factory made garments (FIT/PP/Prod/In-Line) and completes fit comment reports.
• Prioritize fit comment completion based on urgency of factory submits.
• Prepare final production packages for factories and quality control packages on a weekly basis.
• Capture model fit photos, record body measurements, and document technical fit notes.
• Assist with model scheduling and weekly fit charts.
• Create and maintain pattern files, including approved final garments, fit and grade garments, patterns, BOM and spec.
• Manage production samples for fit approvals and blocks, ensuring that the correct fit samples and any necessary references are prepared for weekly fittings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, apparel or a related field
• Knowledgeable in basic sewing methods and best fit standards
• Familiarity with block patterns
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, and 3D design systems is a plus
• Proven expertise in apparel fittings
• Excellent communication skills with production, design teams, and factories
