We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our Talent Acquisition team as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition. In this role, you will manage and lead the overall talent acquisition strategy, guiding our efforts to attract, source, screen, and hire top talent. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing effective, market-leading strategies that ensure we bring in high-caliber candidates who align with our organization's goals and values.
About the Role:
As a key leader in our organization, you'll operate at both a strategic and tactical level, overseeing a team of dedicated recruitment professionals. You'll work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop tailored recruiting strategies that meet the unique demands of each role. You'll also provide strategic counsel to our leadership team, ensuring that our hiring practices are aligned with our long-term vision.
Your focus will be on delivering an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to quality and aligns with our employer brand. You'll oversee the full talent acquisition lifecycle, drive the evolution of our recruiting processes, and ensure the effective use of tools and methods that enhance our talent solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the team's recruitment operations, overseeing the full talent acquisition lifecycle, process improvements, and the implementation of effective talent solutions.
Develop and execute tailored recruiting strategies to source, evaluate, and select candidates for open positions across the company.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop effective staffing plans.
Build strong relationships across the organization and with senior management to deeply understand diverse workstreams and develop scalable talent acquisition strategies.
Directly support senior leadership in executive-level hires, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Partner with internal teams (including HR, Learning & Development, and Finance) to attract, motivate, develop, and retain diverse talent.
Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience, positioning our organization as an employer of choice.
Work with HR and recruiters to provide a "red carpet" onboarding experience for new hires.
Deliver data-driven reporting and analytics to track recruitment activity, team productivity, and other key performance indicators.
Demonstrate proven experience in working with executive leadership on critical talent acquisition strategies and executive hires.
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in team management.
Experience in a media agency or similar industry preferred.
Proven success in full life cycle recruitment, with the ability to handle both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and build relationships across all levels of management.
A high-energy personality with strong leadership and motivational abilities.
Experience in developing team members within a Talent Acquisition or People function.
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various online sourcing and marketing tools.
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration 3 days a week at our Chicago office.
