Job Description

Responsible for warehouse activities which include inventory control, receiving, packaging, shipping, logistics, customer returns, and property maintenance.

· Supervises and performs the functions of receiving and storing materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies.

· Manages consumables, shipping supplies, and other goods associated with day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

· Coordinates with both internal and external sources to properly maintain facilities and equipment as needed.

· Provides for the inspection of incoming material against orders and specifications for correctness and for defects. Arranges for the return of defective material.

· Arranges for special inventories, cycle counting, and reconciling book inventories with physical counts.

· Plans and coordinates the transfer of materials to and from warehouses.

· Promotes efficiency and a sense of urgency among warehouse associates.

· Trains warehouse associates and provides feedback to management on employee performance.

· Supervises and participates in loading and unloading of trucks.

· Conducts specialty projects and performs other related duties as assigned by management, or to fulfill the “Primary Function” of the job.

· High school diploma or equivalent GED.

· Must have two years of supervisory experience.

· Computer literate.

· Knowledge of the company, products, the industry, competitors, basic business concepts, and an understanding of exceeding customer needs and expectations.

· Understand the workings of the transportation industry.

· Strong organizational and phone skills.

Hours are a typical office Monday-Friday schedule with night or weekend hours required as necessary for business demands.

Lifting of up to 75 pounds is required. Considerable walking, climbing of stairs and extended reaching may be required. Will have to work with computers, telephones, fax machines, copiers and calculators. Must be able to handle extreme weather conditions.
