As a physical therapy technician, you will scribe for the therapists and get to hear and observe first hand how therapists arrive at a diagnosis and prognosis for an injury. You will get to see patients improve over time.

Skills needed:

  • Scheduling patients using an electronic medical record system, minimizing no shows/cancels, handle payments (please be able to give us examples of how you have done these tasks)
  • Interest in assisting therapists with applying regenerative medicine therapies to patients with proper training: pulsed radio frequency, Pulsed electromagnetic therapy, and shockwave
  • Ability to make people feel comfortable on the phone and in person with engaging conversations
  • Medical terminology competency required as technicians often scribe for therapists
  • Physical Therapy Tech experience preferred as setting patients up on ice, heat, modalities required
  • Bring a positive energy to the office where others truly enjoy being in our reception area and you make them feel at home
  • Experience with collecting payments and requesting payment from clients required
  • Experience in a medical/dental office strongly preferred
  • Experience with medical insurance and understanding how to verify benefits/authorization processing strongly preferred
  • Strong phone skills with ability to sense on the phone what people truly need and get them talking about their goals and how their problem is affecting their life
  • Ability to confidently explain how physical therapy can help them and understanding of what physical therapy is and communicate that effectively
  • Ability to use computer systems, online platforms effectively and EMR to find and generate reports
  • Ability to coordinate schedules and keep providers schedules full
  • Ability to handle collecting money and keeping AR very clean with patient payments
  • Experience in medical billing strongly preferred

Clinic is open from 7:00am - 6:00pm. We have set schedules but there may be times when you need to open and times when you need to close. The current position opening is for 8:15am-5:15pm Mon- Friday

You will need excellent observation and communication skills to do well in this position. We are looking for a solid team player. We will provide a great working environment and training. We will make sure you succeed because we need to succeed.
